I never crossed the road; if I'd had to cross the road on the way there, I wouldn't have been allowed to go alone at such a young age. We weren't even allowed to do that when the creek was near flood-level. <br /><br />So either that relative had really cruddy reasoning skills... or they were hurt and blamed a little kid for a cat being a cat.
